The Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga, situated in the capital of the Costa del Sol –second most important junction of communications and transport in Spain, and the principal one in the south of the country- is situated beside the highway that links the Málaga ring-road with the Mediterranean highway.
The Pablo Ruiz Picasso International Airport, 9 K from the Trade Fairs and Congress Center, which has a second runway as from 2012, connects Málaga with the main European cities in an average of 2 or 3 hours. There is also a High Speed train service which has been running since December 2007. An extensive net of highways also allows fast access to the city, that has East and West ring-roads, and from these there is access to the trade fair precincts.
From the city center there are two ways to arrive:
Drive along until you join the MA-21 and then the A-7, taking the branch towards Motril/N-311/Antequera/Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga. Take the exit towards Avda. Ortega y Gasset/ MA-401 and at the junction take a U-turn. Follow the indications towards the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga.
The city bus Empresa Malagueña de Transporte (EMT) Nº4 connects the Trade Fairs and Congress Center with the center of the city and bus Nº22 joins the Avda. Moliere or the Campus de Teatinos of Málaga University (UMA) to the precincts.
