In the context of the European Open Science Cloud, the EOSC-hub project is conducting market research to better understand the demand for digital services in research, how they are currently provided and opportunities for improvements in the procurement process. In this sense, we are specifically looking to:
Identify current level of need, demand, spending and funding streams for e-infrastructures and FAIR data management,
Understand current and future preferred service supply models, procurement approaches and constraints.
The survey is structured with specific questions dedicated to the following profiles:
Researchers or research managers: to identify user requirements
Internal IT service provision & support: to understand how services are currently delivered
Procurement and finance managers: to understand current funding streams and approaches to procurement
The survey consists of three sections. Depending on your role, you will be automatically taken through the relevant parts of the survey. We suggest to answer all the presented questions to the best of your abilities, also if you are not completely sure.
The survey should take around 30 minutes and will give us valuable insights to help the future European Open Science Cloud to best meet your needs. You are also welcome to share the survey with other people working in different departments or organisations or having a different role.
The results of this study will be shared on April 11th at the EOSC-hub Week and also will be documented in a project deliverable that will be published in the weeks following the event.
