The CODATA-RDA Research Data Science Summer School

The CODATA-RDA Research Data Science Summer School will take place from 6 to 17 August in Trieste, Italy, and will provide trainings in the foundational skills of Research Data Science. Trainers from the EOSC-hub and EOSCpilot projects will contribute to the event with a cloud computing tutorial that will feature services from the EOSC-hub catalogue and will demonstrate the power of Jupyter Notebooks and cloud computing for research data analysis.

EUDAT tools training

EUDAT tools training will take place on 17 August in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will be diving into four services developed in the EUDAT project: data discovery (B2FIND), data exchange (B2DROP), data publishing and preservation (B2SHARE) and data annotation (B2NOTE). These services are now maintained and provided by the EOSC-hub project.

ECAS training in 3rd ENES Workshop on Workflows

The ESiWACE "Centre of Excellence in Simulation of Weather and Climate in Europe" project is organising the 3rd ENES Workshop on Workflows. The main focus of the workshop is on workflow requirements, challenges, tools and solutions for scientific research in the climate and weather domains. An EOSC-hub team will deliver a training on the ECAS service to the climate community.

Second International PhD School on Open Science Cloud

The second International PhD School on Open Science Cloud will take place from 17 to 21 September in Perugia, Italy and will consist of a series of lectures on topics such as the world of Big Data, data acquisition, managing and handling, Cloud Infrastructures, etc. The school is organised to serve the scientific communities of High Energy Physics, Material Simulation, Meteorological and Environmental studies.
