PID NL - A Workshop On The Use Of Persistent Identifiers In The Netherlands.

Wednesday, November 20, 2019 - 10:00 to 17:30

Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) are an important component of Open Science and FAIR data practices. PIDs ensure that entities within the research workflow are discoverable, citable, comprehensible, and connected.

Learning goal:

In this workshop, we will provide an overview of the value of PIDs and the different PID types available, followed by demonstrations of PID implementations and examples of how to successfully increase PID awareness. After lunch, we’ll roll up our sleeves and break out in groups to start exploring what PIDs can do for you or your institution.

Target audience:  Information Specialists, Librarians, Repository managers, CRIS managers, Policy makers, and everyone else interested in PIDs
